AKG PZM11 Boundary Layer Microphone
The PZM11 is a pressure zone microphone designed to mount in a standard electrical outlet box in a ceiling or wall, for security, surveillance, and conference-room pickup. Its faceplate is styled to look like anything other than a microphone, so it draws no attention in a finished room.
As with AKG's other boundary designs, the capsule sits in the pressure zone just above a reflecting plate for a wide, phase-coherent response with excellent clarity and reach. Low frequencies below the voice range are rolled off to cut HVAC rumble, and the output terminates on screw terminals for a clean, connector-free installation. The standard PZM11 is mic level, the LL variant outputs line level, and the LL WR adds weather resistance for exposed installations.
