AKG CGN341 E DAM+ Gooseneck Microphone Set
The CGN341 E is a complete Discreet Acoustics Modular Plus tabletop microphone rather than a capsule you then have to specify a gooseneck and a base for. It combines the CK41 reference condenser capsule, a W40 M windscreen, the GN30 M gooseneck module and the PAE M phantom power module, so a boardroom or council chamber position ships as one part number.
The CK41 is a wide cardioid with a speech-optimized response, which is the right pattern when the talker is inexperienced, animated, or sharing the position with the person next to them - a tight cardioid punishes anyone who moves off axis. The assembly is slim but metal-bodied, with an LED ring showing phantom power state, and the PAE M module adds a gold-plated XLR output and a 250 Hz bass roll-off that keeps table thumps out of the signal. The double-layer wire-mesh windscreen handles pops and air movement.
