AKG D12 VR Reference Dynamic Bass Microphone
The D12 VR revives AKG's legendary D12, the first cardioid dynamic ever made and a classic kick-drum and bass microphone. Its large diaphragm and controlled low-frequency response deliver the round, powerful bottom end the original was known for, now with active electronics powered by standard 48 V phantom for extra output and consistency.
Three built-in passive filter curves - selectable on the mic - tailor it for kick drum, bass, or a vintage voicing, so a single microphone covers several low-end sources without outboard EQ. It handles up to 164 dB SPL for close work inside a shell and ships in a rugged die-cast body for touring.
