AKG D230 ENG Dynamic Microphone

The D230 is a rugged dynamic ENG microphone that has been a standard in field news gathering for decades. Its omnidirectional pickup makes it forgiving of changing distance between mouth and mic during an interview, so levels stay even as the reporter moves the microphone between subjects.

An integrated windscreen cuts wind noise and plosives outdoors, and an extended shaft leaves room for a station flag without the handling problems a short body would cause. The die-cast metal body has a nonreflective finish for a low profile on camera and stands up to hard field use.
