Whirlwind LIFTER In-Line Ground Lift

The LIFTER is the first thing to reach for when a system hums and nobody knows which box is at fault. It is a 3-pin XLR barrel, female in and male out, that disconnects pin 1 between the two ends, so the ground of a balanced line is broken at that point and nowhere else.

Because the lift lives in the barrel, no cable gets modified to find the fault. Insert it at one end of a suspect run, listen, move it, and the ground loop is located in a minute instead of an evening.
