Whirlwind DA-2M Mic and Line Distribution Amplifier
The DA-2M is the DA-2 with a proper microphone front end. Each of the two channels takes mic or line level on a Neutrik combo connector, with a mic/line switch, variable input gain, a low cut switch for rumble and wind noise, a four segment headroom indicator, and 48 V phantom power that is disabled when the input is used in line mode.
Each channel has four electronically balanced XLR line level outputs with individual volume controls and clip indicators. The front panel COMBINE switch turns the unit from two 1x4 distribution amps into a 2x8, with both inputs feeding all eight outputs, so a microphone and a line source can run at the same time. The headphone circuit monitors either input in mono or both in stereo.
