Telex MS-4002 Main Station
The MS-4002 is a four-channel user and main station that acts as the central hub and power source for a two-wire party-line intercom. All four channels live in a single 1RU chassis with a built-in 4.0-amp power supply, so it both runs the operator's position and feeds every beltpack and speaker station hung off the line. A built-in speaker with its own volume control handles hands-free monitoring, and an auto-detecting headset jack recognizes whether a dynamic or electret microphone is plugged in and sets itself accordingly.
Each of the four channels has its own XLR3 male/female connector, with a DB-9F carrying the separate channel program inputs and four RCA jacks plus a dedicated PA output handling speaker feeds. A front-panel selector switches the whole station between balanced Telex/Audiocom operation and unbalanced Clear-Com wiring, and a gooseneck mic jack is provided for a desk microphone. It accepts 100-240 VAC input, so it drops into a rack anywhere in the world.
