Teradek Prism Mobile 5G Dual 5G-Q HEVC/AVC Encoder

Prism Mobile is the encoder a crew straps to the back of the camera when the story is happening somewhere a fibre run will never reach. Two internal high-throughput 5G modems carry the feed, and the unit bonds up to nine connections at once - the two internal modems, an external Node modem, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and up to four mobile hotspots - so a dropped cell tower does not drop the show. Video goes in over HDMI or SDI at up to 4K60 with HDR, encoded in HEVC to keep the bitrate honest on a cellular uplink, with end-to-end latency as low as 100 ms.

Dual SIM profiles and CBRS/private-network support mean the same box works on a house carrier account at home and on a local plan overseas, and up to sixteen channels of audio ride along with the picture. Return video comes back at 4K for talent and camera ops, and the encoder records on board or to an NFS share as a safety copy. Paired with Teradek Cloud it becomes a managed contribution device - remote configuration, restreaming, and live health monitoring for a whole fleet from one screen. Battery configurations cover Gold Mount, 26V Gold Mount, V-Mount, and a bare no-mount body.
