Teradek Serv Micro Streaming Encoder
Serv Micro takes an HDMI feed off a camera and turns it into a Wi-Fi stream that up to ten devices can watch locally with no internet connection required - a director, a script supervisor, and a client can all pull up the same picture on their own phones or tablets through the Teradek TV app. When the unit does have internet, either through its own Wi-Fi or a USB cellular modem for bonding, it also pushes the same feed to the Teradek TV cloud, Frame.io, or Sony Ci, so anyone off set can watch or review dailies without waiting for files to be pulled and uploaded separately.
It's built to disappear into a small rig: an integrated L-Series battery plate powers it straight off a camera battery, and if the Wi-Fi connection drops mid-take, an SD card slot automatically backs up the recording so nothing is lost. The stream itself is AVC-encoded and locked down with 256-bit encryption, and an auxiliary audio input lets it carry a mic feed separate from the HDMI embedded audio. In the box: an HDMI Type-C-mini to Type-A cable, two 2.4/5.8 GHz Wi-Fi antennas, an Ethernet cable, and an 18W AC adapter.
