Teradek Prism Jetpack Bonded Video System

A bonded uplink is usually an encoder, a fistful of external modems, a battery, a monitor and a lot of cable, assembled on a cart and carried by two people. The Prism Jetpack collapses all of it into one bag. Eight Node 5G modems live inside the chassis, and the bonding engine will combine up to eleven connections in total across cellular, the two gigabit Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi, using Teradek's Bonding Protocol and Teradek Reliable Transport. Four 12G-SDI inputs and an HDMI 2.0 input feed it, with a 12G-SDI output for a local feed.

The encoder handles 4K DCI and UHD up to p60 in 10-bit with HDR (2020-PQ, 2020-HLG and P3D65-PQ), in HEVC/H.265 or AVC/H.264, anywhere from 250 kbps to 85 Mbps, and pushes to SRT, RIST, RTMP/RTMPS, HLS, MPEG-TS, WHIP/WHEP and Teradek Cloud. Up to sixteen audio channels arrive embedded over SDI, and a 3.5mm headset jack gives the operator IFB. A 7-inch high-bright SmallHD touch monitor running PageOS sits under the lid with a fold-out sunhood, backed by an OLED status display and nav buttons for eyes-down checks. Recording runs to a full-size SD card, a USB drive or NFS.

The carrier is a Teradek x Lowepro backpack with cooling vents, padded straps and a built-in rain cover; the encoder and monitor together weigh 5 lb 2 oz without it. Power comes from a V-mount plate and sled, a 2-pin locking connector, or 6-28V DC aux, drawing 20W nominal and 36W maximum.
