Teradek Bolt 6 XT MAX Wireless Video System
The Bolt 6 XT MAX is the long-range, full-bandwidth end of the Bolt 6 line: 12G-SDI in, 12G-SDI and HDMI out, and 4K60 at 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR held together across up to 5,000 feet of line of sight with less than 0.001 seconds of delay. That combination is the reason it lives on feature sets and stadium shoots rather than in a run bag. The transmitter also accepts HDMI 2.0, and one transmitter will drive as many as six receivers, so the DP, the director, the client tent, and the DIT can each have their own picture off a single radio.
XT bodies carry additional transmit antennas over the LT chassis, which is what buys the range and the resilience in an RF environment already crowded with comms, Wi-Fi, and other wireless video. The link is AES-256 encrypted with RSA-1024 key pairing, and it works across 5 GHz and the newly opened 6 GHz channels. Both the transmitter and receiver carry a matching battery plate, Gold Mount or V-Mount, and the set ships with a light stand adapter (1/4-20) and a hot shoe adapter. Teradek also lists a Deluxe version of this same set at a higher price point; the manufacturer's own listing does not spell out what the Deluxe tier adds beyond the standard TX/RX set, so confirm the difference with Teradek before speccing one over the other on a bid.
