Tascam Model 16 Live Recorder / Mixing Console
The Model 16 takes 14 inputs, 10 mono XLR/TRS channels plus 2 stereo-paired TRS pairs, and records all of them plus the stereo mix as a 16-track WAV/BWF session to SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards, with punch in/out on up to 8 tracks for after-the-fact fixes. Ten of those channels run through Tascam's Ultra HDDA mic preamps, and channels 1-8 add a 1-knob compressor alongside 3-band sweepable-mid EQ.
Sixteen built-in effects and a 4-band master EQ cover the mix without outboard gear, and the console doubles as a 16-in/14-out USB interface at 24-bit/48kHz for recording straight into a DAW. Bluetooth 5.0 with AAC and SBC support brings in a wireless source for a click track or background music, and dedicated monitor, effects, and control-room outputs keep a live mix and a recording feed independent.
