Sony HDCE-100 Single Mode Fiber Camera Extension Adapter
Stadiums, golf courses, race tracks and winter sports venues are usually already wired with single mode fiber, permanently or for the event. The HDCE-100 lets a Sony camera system use it: the adapter converts the SMPTE fiber connection from an HDC or HSC camera head to single mode fiber, and with the matching HKCU-SM100 CCU extension adapter at the other end the run reaches up to 10 km.
The camera head is still powered through the SMPTE fiber cable from the HDCE-100, so nothing extra has to be carried to the camera position. The pair works with 4K (F55/CA4000 with BPU4000) as well as HDC and HSC series camera systems. The unit runs on 100 V to 240 V AC at up to 4.5 A, operates from 41 F to 104 F, and weighs about 8 lb.
