Sony HDCE-200 Camera Extension Adaptor
The HDCE-200 is a camera extension adaptor that carries an HD camera signal over single-mode fiber, letting a camera head work far from its control unit without the picture or control data degrading over the run. It pairs with the HKCU-SM27 fiber adaptor on the camera side and the HDFX-200 unit on the CCU side, and it can also supply power to a 4K live camera through a BPU-4000 baseband processor unit, so a single fiber infrastructure can carry power as well as signal.
Beyond raw distance, the HDCE-200 is built to integrate with third-party production infrastructure, including Riedel MediorNet and Blackmagic Design systems, which matters for facilities running a mixed-vendor signal chain rather than an all-Sony one. It connects over a single BNC input and output pair, keeping the interface simple at both ends of the run.
