Sony HDCE-TX30 IP Camera Extension Adaptor (Transmitter)
The HDCE-TX30 takes the cost and the cabling out of remote production: it connects directly to the camera head in the field and sends that camera's signals over an SMPTE ST 2110 IP network to a Camera Control Unit sitting in a production centre somewhere else. It works with the HDC-3500, 3200 and 3100 and the HDC-2500, 2400 and 1700 series system cameras.
The adaptor is 1/3 rack width and travels in a flight case. Intercom is covered through support for RTS, Clear-Com and Riedel IP systems, so a director can talk to an operator at the venue in real time. Inside a facility the same box lets camera signals be routed over IP between studios, control rooms and machine rooms without re-connecting fibre. A software licence adds JPEG XS without an external box.
