Sony BVM-E171 16.5" OLED Master Monitor

The Sony BVM-E171 is a 16.5-inch TRIMASTER EL reference monitor built around Sony's 2nd-generation OLED panel, aimed at color grading, high-end editing, and broadcast QC where the picture on screen has to be trusted. The OLED cells give true black reproduction and a very high contrast ratio with virtually no motion blur, and the color shift across the 89-degree viewing angle is cut to less than half of the earlier OLED generation, so the image still reads correctly from off-axis seats around a grading suite.

It runs a Full HD 1920 x 1080 panel with support for Digital Cinema 2048 x 1080 signals, panel frame rates of 48/50/60 Hz (with 1/1.001 pulldown), and a Flicker Free mode for slow-motion review. Connectivity covers dual SDI (BNC), HDMI with HDCP, and composite video, with parallel and serial (Ethernet) remote for gallery integration. The optional BVML-HE171 software license adds HDR monitoring across multiple EOTF curves - 2.2/2.4/2.6 gamma, S-Log3, HLG, and ST 2084 - so the same panel can cover SDR and HDR review.
