Sony BVM-HX3110 30.5" 4K HDR Master Monitor
The Sony BVM-HX3110 is the flagship of the TRIMASTER HX line, a 30.5-inch dual-cell monitor built for the most demanding color grading, live event, and VFX work Sony makes a display for. Its dual-cell panel technology - the same architecture later scaled down into the BVM-HX1710 - reaches a 4,096 x 2160 resolution with 4,000 cd/m² peak luminance, higher contrast, and true black reproduction, and the smooth highlight roll-off holds detail in the brightest parts of an HDR image instead of clipping it.
IP is built in rather than bolted on: two SFP28 25G LAN ports carry direct ST 2110-20/21/22/30/40 signal input alongside 2x 12G-SDI, 2x 3G-SDI, and HDMI, and an RJ45 Ethernet port supports HD live-streaming monitoring. Onboard waveform and vectorscope tools, plus USB-loaded LUTs with 3D interpolation for HDR-to-SDR conversion, let a colorist or shader make final judgment calls without an external scope. At 63.9 lbs and roughly 30.75 x 20.5 x 9.125 inches, it's built for a permanent grading bay or OB truck rack position rather than a field cart.
