Shure ULXD2-B87A
The ULXD2/B87A is a handheld wireless transmitter for Shure's ULX-D digital system, fitted with the Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule. The condenser element brings detail and airy top end to lead vocals, while the supercardioid pattern rejects monitor and PA bleed to control feedback on a loud stage. Transparent 24-bit/48 kHz audio and greater than 120 dB of dynamic range carry every nuance, and AES-256 encryption keeps the transmission secure for corporate, broadcast, and touring use.
The capsule is interchangeable, so the same transmitter can wear an SM58, SM86, KSM9, Beta 58A, or other Shure cartridge as the job requires. A backlit LCD with a simple menu, frequency and power lockout, and rugged metal construction make it road-ready. It runs up to 11 hours on two AA batteries, or the optional Shure SB900B lithium-ion pack delivers over 12 hours with precision metering in hours and minutes and zero memory effect.
