Shure ULXD2-SM86
The ULXD2/SM86 is a handheld wireless transmitter for Shure's ULX-D digital system, fitted with the SM86 cardioid condenser capsule. The condenser element gives lead vocals a clear, detailed reproduction, and its two-stage internal pop filter tames wind and breath noise up close, while the cardioid pattern isolates the voice and holds down background sound. Transparent 24-bit/48 kHz audio and greater than 120 dB of dynamic range carry every detail, with AES-256 encryption securing the link.
The capsule is interchangeable, so the transmitter can be re-fitted with an SM58, KSM9, Beta 58A, Beta 87C, or other Shure cartridge as the application changes. A backlit LCD with an easy menu, frequency and power lockout, and rugged metal construction keep it show-ready. It runs up to 11 hours on two AA batteries, or the optional Shure SB900B lithium-ion pack delivers over 12 hours with precision metering and zero memory effect.
