Shure QLXD2 SM58
The QLXD2/SM58 is a QLX-D digital handheld transmitter fitted with the legendary SM58 vocal head, a cardioid dynamic capsule that has fronted stages for decades. The cardioid pattern favors the singer and rejects monitor and PA bleed to control feedback, while the SM58's tailored midrange and built-in pop filter keep vocals present and clean through hard use. It syncs to a QLX-D receiver over infrared at the push of a button, so a channel is dialed in without menu diving.
The transmitter carries transparent 24-bit digital audio and AES 256-bit encryption for a secure, uninterrupted signal over its full 330 foot line-of-sight range. Two AA alkaline batteries give up to 9 hours of continuous use, or an optional Shure SB900B lithium-ion pack reports remaining runtime in hours and minutes. The head is interchangeable with other Shure capsules, so the same body can wear a Beta 58A, Beta 87A, or KSM9 as the act demands.
