Shure QLXD2 KSM9HS
The QLXD2/KSM9HS pairs Shure's QLX-D digital handheld transmitter with the KSM9HS, a dual-diaphragm condenser capsule that switches between hypercardioid and subcardioid patterns. That choice lets a vocalist tighten the pickup for a loud stage or open it up for a more natural, room-aware sound, all from the same mic. The condenser element brings out detail and top-end air a dynamic cannot, and its wide 50 Hz to 20 kHz response captures a voice with studio-grade clarity.
QLX-D transmits 24-bit audio with more than 120 dB of dynamic range, so no transmitter gain adjustment is needed even for the most dynamic singer, and AES-256 encryption keeps the link secure. RF output is selectable at 1 mW or 10 mW, the metal-bodied transmitter runs up to 9 hours on two AA cells, and an optional lithium-ion rechargeable pushes that to about 10 hours while reporting runtime in hours and minutes. A backlit LCD and frequency/power lockout round out the controls.
