Sennheiser Spectera MADI Card (OM)
The Spectera MADI Card (OM) is an optional interface card that plugs into an expansion slot on the Sennheiser Spectera Base Station and carries audio over an optical multimode (OM) MADI connection. MADI moves many channels of digital audio down a single link, and the OM optical variant is the choice for longer runs and for installations that want the noise immunity of fiber. It ties the Spectera wideband wireless system into a facility's MADI infrastructure alongside the base station's Dante connectivity.
The Spectera Base Station provides two MADI slots so a second card can mirror the first, and because the base station already ships with one MADI OM card as standard, this card is added mainly to build a redundant, fully backed-up MADI path. Together the two cards give the up to 64-channel (32 in / 32 out) base station a resilient audio interface for high-stakes broadcast and live production.
