Sennheiser MKH50-P48 Microphone
The MKH 50-P48 is a supercardioid RF condenser, the tight-pattern member of Sennheiser's MKH 40-series studio and location microphones. Its RF transducer principle keeps self-noise exceptionally low and stays stable in humidity where conventional condensers struggle, and the frequency-independent supercardioid pattern gives strong rejection of side and rear sound. That makes it a natural spot mic for a soloist, a boom mic where feedback and bleed are a concern, and a dependable film and location tool.
A switchable -10 dB pad lets it handle loud sources up to 142 dB SPL, and a switchable bass roll-off (-4 dB at 50 Hz) tames the proximity effect at close range. It runs on 48V phantom power and terminates in a 3-pin XLR. G&G ships it with the MZQ 40 quick-release clip, MZS 40 shock mount, MZW 41 windscreen, a Rycote Super-Softie, and a Rycote InVision INV-HG MkIII suspension.
