Sennheiser MKE2-3-K Gold P6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone
The MKE 2 is Sennheiser's subminiature omnidirectional condenser lavalier, a fixture on broadcast, theater, and film sets for decades. The omnidirectional capsule captures the voice evenly no matter how the wearer turns, so it stays consistent clipped to a lapel or hidden in wardrobe, and it shrugs off the popping and handling noise that catch out directional capsules. A pre-polarized condenser element and a 20 to 20,000 Hz response give it a full, natural voice with detail that survives a busy mix.
This is the reduced-sensitivity Gold version, rated at 5 mV/Pa with a moisture-resistant umbrella diaphragm that resists perspiration and handles levels up to 142 dB SPL, so it holds together on loud stages and close to the source. It is wired for Samson bodypack transmitters with the P6 connector, finished in beige, and ships with the MZQ 222 clip and MZW 2 windscreen.
