Sennheiser MEG 14-40 Cardioid Gooseneck Microphone
Where the modular ME heads and MZH goosenecks give an integrator choices, the MEG 14-40 gives them one part number. The KE 10 cardioid capsule is built into a 40 cm single-flex gooseneck ending in a standard XLR-3M base, so it drops into any lectern or table flange wired for a normal microphone.
Matte black keeps it out of camera shot. It runs 50 to 20,000 Hz at 130 dB max SPL on 48 V phantom drawing 3 mA, with 100 ohms output impedance and 26 dB (CCIR) of self-noise. Total length is 450 mm on an 8 mm stem at 147 g. If the room needs a floor-indicator light, the MEG 14-40-L-II is the same microphone with an illuminated ring on a 5-pin XLR.
