Sennheiser MKE 400 On-camera Shotgun Microphone
The MKE 400 is a compact on-camera shotgun that mounts to a mirrorless, DSLR, or camcorder and focuses the microphone on whatever the lens is pointed at. An acoustic interference tube gives it a super-cardioid pattern that pulls in the subject while rejecting off-axis room noise and crowd chatter, so dialogue and interviews stay clean without a boom operator.
Wind protection and a shock-absorbing mount are built into the body to keep handling rumble and outdoor gusts out of the track. It runs on a single AAA cell for roughly 300 hours and feeds the camera through a 3.5 mm stereo output. The kit ships with two locking coiled cables, the CL 35 TRS for cameras and the CL 35 TRRS for phones and tablets, plus the MZH 400 furry windshield and a drawstring pouch.
