Sachtler System 25 C III

The 2570 is Sachtler's 25 C III package, built around the Video 25 fluid head on aluminium legs. It carries 8 kg to 35 kg (17.64 lb to 77.16 lb) on a Flat Base bowl. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 18 counterbalance steps and 7 + 0 horizontal and vertical grades of drag on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs 90° to -75° with 11 cm (4.33 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 91 cm to 176 cm (35.83 in to 69.29 in). The complete system weighs 22.6 kg (49.82 lb). Sachtler rates the head from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F), so the fluid does not thicken in the cold. In the box: Video 25 Plus FB (2501P); Multi Disc (3914); Pedestal C III (5195).
