Roland VR-400UHD 4K Streaming AV Mixer
The VR-400UHD is Roland's rack-mount answer to running a full in-person and livestreamed production from one box: seven HDMI inputs at up to 4K/60p (four usable simultaneously, three always available), two 4K HDMI program outputs plus a fixed 720p HD output, and a USB-C streaming output that shows up as a standard webcam on macOS and Windows at up to 4K/30p. Built-in scalers handle mixed 4K/FHD and HDR/SDR sources together, with 4:2:2 10-bit processing, four simultaneous video channels, and a background layer plus two picture-in-picture or key layers for building a composed shot. Sixty-four scenes across eight banks store full setups for recall.
The audio side is a genuine 14-channel mixer, not an afterthought: six mic inputs (four XLR/TRS combo with phantom power, two TRS), two stereo RCA line inputs, and embedded HDMI/USB audio, all at 24-bit/48kHz with EQ, dynamics, auto gain, anti-feedback, noise gate, and de-essing per channel. Dual 7 inch touchscreens run the interface, with cut, mix, and eleven wipe transitions, ROI cropping on a single 4K source, and still image import. It measures 436 x 279 x 137mm, weighs 6.8kg, fits a standard 19 inch rack, and offers browser-based remote control over LAN alongside RS-232 and TALLY connectivity.
