Roland V-1-4K Video Switcher
The V-1-4K takes the small-switcher form factor Roland built its reputation on and moves it to 4K. Five HDMI 2.0 inputs accept cameras, laptops, and players at up to 4K 60p, and the switcher will also run the whole HD range down to 720p, so a mixed-resolution rig does not need converters at the front end. Video processing is 4:2:2 (Y/Pb/Pr) at 8-bit. A dedicated multi-view output puts every source and the program on one monitor, which is what makes a one-operator show workable.
Audio is a 14-channel mixer that blends the embedded HDMI and USB audio with two XLR line inputs, then sends the result out on an RCA stereo pair, a stereo phone jack, and back into the HDMI and USB program. The USB-C port doubles as a stream output for a laptop or a conferencing app. At 330 x 164 x 79 mm and 1.9 kg it packs alongside the cameras rather than taking its own case.
