Roland V-1HD Plus HD Video Switcher

The V-1HD Plus takes the compact four-input HDMI switcher and adds the connections a growing production keeps asking for. Four HDMI inputs with frame-rate conversion accept cameras, computers, and players up to Full HD 1080p, and two independent HDMI outputs can each be assigned to program, preview, or a third bus, so you can drive a main screen and a confidence monitor from different feeds. Picture-in-picture, split-screen, and a downstream keyer round out the composition tools for a single operator working live.

Audio is where the Plus earns its name. The 14-channel digital mixer blends the embedded HDMI stereo pairs with two XLR microphone inputs that carry selectable phantom power, an 1/8-inch input for a lavalier or phone, and stereo RCA sources. Each input gets its own three-band EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, and noise gate, plus a sync delay to lock sound to picture, and two balanced 1/4-inch TRS outputs send the finished mix to a PA.
