Rode NT6 Remote Capsule Condenser Microphone
The NT6 is a small-diaphragm cardioid condenser split into two pieces: a compact 1/2 inch gold-sputtered capsule head and a separate preamp body, joined by a 3 metre Kevlar-reinforced cable. That remote capsule is the whole point, letting you tuck the microphone into places a one-piece mic will not fit, such as inside a piano, under a hi-hat or tight against a guitar amp, while the electronics sit safely out of the way.
The capsule head rotates through 180 degrees on its mount for precise aiming, and the body carries a two-stage pad and two-stage high-pass filter to tame loud sources and stage rumble. It runs on 48V phantom power and is covered by Rode's 10-year warranty.
