MOTU 24Ao 72-Channel Audio Interface with 24 Analog Outputs and AVB
The 24Ao is the output half of MOTU's high-density analog pair: twenty-four balanced analog outputs in a single rack space, plus three 8-channel ADAT optical banks for 72 channels total. Outputs are wired on multi-channel DB-25 D-sub and Phoenix connectors for permanent installation, and they measure 123 dB dynamic range with -110 dB THD+N, the same analog design used in the 1248, 8M and 16A.
It connects to the host over audio class compliant USB 2.0, which works across Mac, Windows and iPad with a camera connection kit and stays compatible with USB 3.0 machines. AVB/TSN Ethernet carries audio to other MOTU interfaces and standards-based AVB devices over ordinary CAT-5e. The onboard 48-channel mixer gives 7 stereo aux busses, 3 groups, a reverb bus and separate main and monitor busses, with modeled analog EQ and compression running in 32-bit floating point.
