MOTU AVB Switch Six-Port Gigabit AVB Ethernet Switch
AVB is the IEEE 802.1 extension to Ethernet built for real-time, low-latency, synchronized audio and video streaming. The MOTU AVB Switch is the piece that makes it practical: six 1-Gigabit AVB ports that accept any AVB device, including other switches, while still passing standard Ethernet traffic on the same network.
Setup is connect and go. Shielded CAT-5e or CAT-6 cables link MOTU AVB interfaces, and the switch handles automatic device discovery and network bandwidth management, so guaranteed quality of service and self-regulating resource allocation come without an IT project. Use it to connect up to five MOTU interfaces into one system, or as a building block in a larger standards-based AVB network with long point-to-point runs.
| Ports | Six 1-Gigabit AVB Ethernet ports |
|---|---|
| Standard | IEEE 802.1 AVB compliant |
| Cabling | Shielded CAT-5e or CAT-6 |
| Network Services | Automatic device discovery, bandwidth management, guaranteed quality of service |
| Mixed Traffic | Supports standard Ethernet operation on the same network |
| System Expansion | Connects up to five MOTU AVB interfaces |
| Cascading | Supports connection to other AVB switches |
