Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro (32150) Capture At 4096 X 2160 With 4:4:4 Loop-through
USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro moves to a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, which is what makes 20 Gb/s of throughput available to an external device. In practice that removes the compromise every earlier USB dongle forced: 4096 x 2160 capture and frame rates as high as 240 fps, rather than picking one or the other.
The HDMI loop-through passes 4096 x 2160 at 60 fps in full 4:4:4, so a monitor or projector downstream gets the untouched signal while the capture runs - important for gameplay and for critical viewing where chroma subsampling on the loop would be visible. Audio comes from the embedded 2-channel HDMI stream or from the 3.5 mm microphone input. The host still installs nothing across Windows, Linux, macOS, and Chrome. Two USB 3.2 Type-C cables and an HDMI cable ship with it.
