Irix 11mm f/4.0 Ultra Wide-Angle Full-Frame Lens
The Irix 11mm f/4.0 puts a 126 degree diagonal field of view on a full-frame DSLR without the barrel curvature of a fisheye, and it is one of the few lenses this wide that offers any filtration at all: a 30 x 30 mm gelatin slot sits behind the rear element. Focusing is manual with a lock ring, an infinity click and a focus calibration window that lets the lens be re-synchronised to a body at home.
An electronic module reports aperture to the camera, so PASM modes work and aperture lands in EXIF. Two finishes are offered from the same optical design: Firefly, a lighter composite barrel supplied with a soft case, and Blackstone, a metal-reinforced barrel with UV reactive engraved markings supplied with a hard case. Both are sealed in three key areas and take Canon EF, Nikon F or Pentax K mounts.
