Irix 15mm f/2.4 Wide-Angle Full-Frame Lens
The Irix 15mm f/2.4 is the astro and architecture lens of the Irix photo range: 110 degrees diagonally on full frame, f/2.4 wide open, and a focus lock that holds the ring at infinity through a night of exposures. A 95 mm front thread takes screw-in filters and a 30 x 30 mm gelatin slot sits behind the rear element, so filtration is available at both ends.
Fifteen elements in eleven groups are corrected for low distortion, and the electronic contacts report aperture to the body for PASM shooting and EXIF. The Firefly finish uses a lighter composite barrel and ships with a soft case; the Blackstone finish uses a metal-reinforced barrel with UV reactive engraved markings and ships with a hard case. Both are sealed in four key areas.
