Hiwatt PEDALSMITH 50 Head
Where the Pedalsmith 30 uses 6V6s, the Pedalsmith 50 keeps the EL34s the DR504 was designed around, and the extra 20 watts go straight into clarity and headroom rather than volume for its own sake.
The circuit is the one heard on records by The Who, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, brought forward with internally jumped inputs and a quiet post-preamp effects loop. Normal and Brilliant channels each take high and low inputs, a Filter switch gives three circuit variations, and oversized transformers hold the low end together up to full output.
