Hiwatt Studio Stage Combo 1x12

The SS20/40 combo is the flagship of Hiwatt's Custom Shop Studio range, loaded here with a single 12-inch Custom Hiwatt Fane F75. Power scaling puts 40 watts on tap in Stage mode and just over 20 in Studio mode, from a quartet of EL84s.

High and low impedance inputs set how hard the preamp is driven, a Bright switch works across both, and the Boost adds preamp gain and is footswitchable for changing it mid-song. This is one of the few Custom amps with reverb: a Dwell control sets how much signal hits the spring tank and Reverb blends it back, which covers ambience through to something much larger. A Fane Purpleback 150 is offered as a speaker upgrade.
