Gitzo Systematic Series 5 Carbon Fiber Tripod

Series 5 is the top of the Systematic range and the stiffest thing Gitzo makes. Tubes run 32.9 to 41.3 mm, the upper disc grows to 90 mm, and the rated safety payload is 42 kg, which covers a 600 mm f/4 on a gimbal or a broadcast lens on a fluid head.

There is no centre column: the 90 mm disc takes a flat plate, a Series 5 geared or rapid column, a levelling base or a 75 mm or 100 mm video bowl adapter. The 3-section GT5533LSUS weighs 2.72 kg, folds to 68 cm and reaches 145 cm; minimum height is 10 cm with the legs flat. Long and XL variants add height, the 4-section variants fold shorter for transport.
