Gitzo GKTBB1 / GKTBC1 Mini Traveler Tripod Kit

The Mini Traveler folds to 22cm and weighs about a quarter of a kilo, so it goes in the same pocket as a spare battery rather than costing you a slot in the bag. Single-section aluminium legs set at 50 or 75 degrees put it at 12.5 to 17.5 cm, which is tabletop, kerb and rock-ledge height, and it holds 3 kg, enough for a mirrorless body with a normal lens.

The head is a ball with a locking knob and a 1/4 inch top stud, so it aims like the full-size Gitzo heads rather than a friction joint you fight. There is no centre column and no quick release, which is what keeps it this small and this stiff. The two versions are identical hardware in different finishes: GKTBB1 in black, GKTBC1 in the Noir Decor trim.
