Focusrite RedNet AM2 Stereo Dante Headphone and Line Monitoring Unit
RedNet AM2 is the small box that puts a monitor position anywhere there is a network cable. It takes two channels off a Dante network and presents them on a 1/4 inch stereo headphone jack and a pair of balanced XLR line outputs, with a switchable 0 dBFS reference of +18 or +24 dBu so it lines up with whatever the rest of the plant is calibrated to.
Performance is what the range name implies rather than what the size suggests: 120 dB of A-weighted dynamic range on the line outputs, 118 dB on the headphone amplifier, distortion below -100 dB and 20 Hz to 20 kHz within 0.05 dB. The headphone amp drives 32 to 600 ohm loads from a 5 ohm output. Power is IEEE 802.3af class 0 PoE or a 12 V DC input, drawing 11 W over PoE.
