ESE LX463U SMPTE/EBU Reader
The ESE LX-463U is the desktop version of ESE's 1.0-inch eight-digit time code reader, built into a rugged powder-coated aluminum LX enclosure for a benchtop or console. It auto-detects and displays SMPTE or EBU time code on bright amber LEDs, reading bi-directionally from 1/20 up to 10 times play speed and switching between 12 and 24 hour formats or a user-bits display.
An error detection and correction circuit holds the reading steady on marginal code, and a front-panel Hold button freezes the display. Options add a TC90 output on a DB-9 connector that drives up to 100 slave displays as far as 4000 feet away, and an RS-232 output on a DB-9 using ESE Format C. The unit runs on 110-120 VAC, with 220-240 VAC and UL options available.
