ESE ES455 SMPTE/EBU Reader/Window Dubber

The ESE ES-455 is a SMPTE/EBU time code reader and window dubber that burns a running time-code window into a video signal. It reads longitudinal time code bi-directionally from 1/30 up to 30 times play speed and works with both NTSC and PAL, inserting eight digits of time (hours, minutes, seconds and frames) along with eight user-bit digits directly over the picture.

On-screen menus set character size and screen position, adjust character and background brightness, and switch between side-by-side, stacked, time-only or user-bits-only display modes, with a solid or transparent mask. Video comes in on one BNC and out on two BNC connectors, settings are held in battery-backed memory, and options add RS-232 remote control (via Windows software) and an S-Video configuration.
