Crestron CP4 4-Series Control System

The CP4 is the standard rack-mount 4-Series control processor, and it is the part most commercial rooms are built around. The 4-Series engine runs the program; the back panel does the work. Eight normally open isolated relays rated 1 A at 30 VAC/VDC handle screens, lifts and contact closures; eight Versiport ports switch between digital input, digital output and analog input per port; eight IR/serial ports drive legacy sources at up to 1.2 MHz or TTL/RS-232 at up to 115.2k baud. Three COM ports cover 2-way device control, with COM 1 configurable as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 with hardware handshaking.

Memory is 2 GB of SDRAM and 8 GB of flash, expandable with an SD or SDHC card to 32 GB for logs and a USB mass storage device to 1 TB. A single gigabit LAN port carries the whole system, and a Cresnet master port feeds and controls wired Cresnet devices, passing through 24VDC from the included PW-2420RU power pack. A front-panel USB Type B console port is there for setup. Where the job needs Crestron devices on their own isolated gigabit network with a DHCP and DNS server built in, step up to the CP4N.
