Crestron CEN-SWPOE-30 30-Port PoE+ Managed Switch

The CEN-SWPOE-30 is the switch most DM NVX systems are built on. Twenty-six 1000Base-T Gigabit ports, twenty-four of them supplying PoE+ at up to 30 W each against a 480 W total budget, and four 10 Gigabit Base-X SFP+ ports that take multimode or single-mode transceivers such as the SFP-10G-SR for the fibre backbone. The 132 Gbps non-blocking fabric is sized so that a fully populated shelf of encoders and decoders never contends.

Configuration is the part that matters on an AV network: selecting the DM NVX or DM NAX profile sets up the multicast handling in one action instead of leaving IGMP snooping and querier settings to be discovered on site. Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switching, LLDP and an advanced CLI are there when the network team wants them. It is 1U at 17.32 by 15.78 in. and 12.02 lb, draws 6.4-2.5 A at 100-240VAC, and consumes 614 W at maximum PoE. The TAA compliant variant is the same switch built to Trade Agreements Act sourcing requirements.
