Crestron CEN-SWPOE-48-ULTRA 48-Port Ultra PoE Managed Switch

The CEN-SWPOE-48-ULTRA is the high-power version of the forty-port switch. All forty 1000Base-T Gigabit ports supply PoE++ to IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 at up to 90 W each, with a 2880 W maximum combined output, and eight 10 Gigabit Base-X SFP+ ports handle uplinks on a 240 Gbps non-blocking fabric.

Delivering that much power takes more than one mains feed: a single AC connection supports 912 W of PoE, dual 1998 W and triple 3523 W, falling to 82.6 W under full mesh traffic with no PoE. The chassis is correspondingly larger, 2U at 3.4 by 17.32 by 13.78 in. and 22.72 lb, with reversible rack ears. Selectable DM NVX and DM NAX profiles configure the multicast behaviour an AV-over-IP system needs in one step rather than port by port, and a streamlined web browser interface, an advanced CLI and LLDP cover the rest of the commissioning. Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switching, MAC table up to 16K.
