Crestron AMP-X500 X-Series Amplifier, 500 W
The AMP-X500 shares one power budget across its channels instead of dividing it evenly. Each channel is rated at 250 W into 4 or 8 ohms, 500 W into 8 ohms only, or 500 W at 70V or 100V, with total simultaneous output across all channels capped at 500 W. In practice that means a designer can put the power where the room needs it, a pair of large mains and several small fills, without over-buying an amplifier per zone.
Balanced and unbalanced inputs are accepted on the same connector. Protection covers overcurrent, undervoltage, over temperature, DC offset, and extreme high frequency, and a power-saver mode sleeps the amplifier after 25 minutes with no signal, waking in about half a second on a 0.44 mV threshold.
