Chauvet DJ Nimbus Dry Ice Machine
Nimbus makes true low-lying fog by dropping dry ice into heated water, which produces a thick white cloud that stays on the floor and dissipates without rising. That is a different effect from a fogger with a chiller: nothing climbs into the lighting or triggers a smoke detector at head height.
The 4.5 gallon tank heats enough water to convert 10 lb of dry ice into about 6 minutes of run time. Two heating elements are the reason to choose it: running both cuts heat-up and recycle time substantially, at 3,000 W and 25.2 A on 120 V, so plan that circuit before load-in. A single element runs at 1,500 W. An adjustable multi-level control arm sets output and flow during the effect, and a low water sensor prevents dry firing. Empty it weighs 28.6 lb and 75 lb full. The Nimbus Cart is the matching accessory.
