Cablecast VIO 2 Two Channel Video Server

VIO 2 is a two-channel video server for cable playout, running Cablecast automation: you schedule the programming and the system handles playback, video-on-demand and OTT publishing, graphic announcements and schedule promotion, then reports back on playout and viewer metrics. Its two SDI ports are configurable either as two outputs, or as one encode channel and one playout channel.

It plays a wide range of digital formats and codecs with SD-to-HD up-conversion and HD-to-SD down-conversion built in, so material does not need transcoding before it airs, and it natively decodes, plays and records RTP, RTMP and HLS network streams. Channel branding with crawls, station bugs and bug text is included, along with meeting indexing that lets a viewer jump to a chapter and open the attached agenda. Storage is 10 TB of RAID5, factory-upgradeable to 40 TB, behind redundant power supplies.
