Cablecast VIO 4+ Four Output Video Server

VIO 4 plus is the high-I/O server in the VIO line: eight SDI ports give up to four dedicated outputs and four inputs at the same time, with up to two encode channels for live capture. That is the configuration a busy facility needs when ingest and playout have to run concurrently without contending for the same connectors.

It runs on Cablecast automation, so scheduling controls playback, on-demand and OTT publishing, graphic announcements and schedule promotion, with reporting on playout and viewer metrics. SD-to-HD up-conversion and HD-to-SD down-conversion are built in across a wide range of digital formats and codecs, and RTP, RTMP and HLS network streams are decoded, played and recorded natively. Channel branding with crawls, station bugs and bug text is included, as is meeting indexing with attached agendas. Storage is 10 TB of RAID5, factory-upgradeable to 40 TB, on redundant power.
